Jackie Gersht has lived in Ramsey for over 38 years with her husband Gary. She is deeply involved with the Ramsey Municipal Alliance and serves as the primary contact for Ramsey Girl Scouts.

A graduate of Hackensack High School, and Fairleigh Dickinson University, Jackie has dedicated more than three decades to scouting in Ramsey, working with both Boy Scouts (Troop 31) and Girl Scouts. Her longstanding commitment has earned her the Thanks Badge and the Thanks Badge 2 — the highest national honoring Girl Scouts and she is currently the leader of three Girl Scout troops. Through scouting, she has spent countless hours building courage, confidence, and character in local children while fostering strong community values.

Jackie is also Vice President of the Ramsey Rescue Squad, where she supports the Goodwill and Outreach program and chairs the scholarship program. She is active with the Ramsey Office of Emergency Management, a member of the Ramsey Citizens Emergency Response Team (CERT), and acts as the non-profit liaison for the Ramsey Farmers Market. She is a member of RIFE (Ramsey is for Everyone). In addition, she contributes to special events such as the Memorial Day parade.

Recognized as a Fifth District Hometown Hero by Congressman Josh Gottheimer, Jackie brings her passion for education, service, and community safety to the RMA. She is committed to fostering healthy communities, supporting families, and helping Ramsey residents make positive choices. In her free time, she continues to volunteer tirelessly for the children and families of Ramsey.
